MEDIA RELEASE

Winter Wonderland Festival
Gordon’s Bay 1-17 July

From 1-17 July Gordon’s Bay will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland as the village is dressed in beautiful white lights! The Milkwood Trail will be a ‘Fairy Forest” with twinkling fairy lights, big snowflakes and stars. The historic Post Office trees will shimmer and island trees through the village will shine. Homes, gardens, shops and businesses will glisten! Lights will twinkle along the beach and right up the mountain ...  the village will be a shining star seen from afar!

It will be fun too – on 1 & 2 July local restaurants, guest houses and businesses will have food stalls, blankets and pavement fires for visitors to warm themselves. Restaurants will serve warming winter fare while local musicians will create the sound of music all over the village.

This is the first year of the Winter Wonderland Festival and it is hoped that it will grow to be an international attraction.

Local residents and businesses are encouraged to join in:
